Quite often customers ask what is the worst smell in the drain business. For me it has to be Uric Scale usually found completely blocking urinal pipe work. You usually find out about it when the urinals start overflowing and you have a small flood on your hands.
When calcium and protein deposits in urine come together they react and form uric scale, a hard compound. It breeds bacteria, smells bad and if left will completely block pipes.
